Kim Hansen joined Schwartz Brothers Insurance Agency in January 1989 as an insurance and bonding agent. Through the years his responsibilities included insurance and bonding programs that protect and enhance approximately fifty contractors every year.
His work entails customizing specific insurance and bonding programs for each contractor, then negotiating competitive coverage and pricing with the appropriate insurance company underwriters.
Kim’s client base covers contractors performing a yearly volume of $2,000,000 to $130,000,000 per year.
Prior to joining Schwartz Brothers, Kim owned and operated a commercial heating and air-conditioning company in Denver, Colorado for eight years. Kim was responsible for all aspects of operation including administrative, estimating and supervising a staff of fifty-five employees.
Kim is a graduate of Marmion Military Academy, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Kim is a long standing member of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association, The Underground Contractors Association, The Builders Association of Greater Chicago, The Chicago Building Congress and The American Subcontractors Association. He is actively sitting on and/or chairing a number of committees including education, meetings, convention and the professional counsel.
